Charles Lee Preston, age 74, Harrodsburg, husband of Betty Sue Peach Preston, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg.
Born December 11, 1936 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late William Elbert and Virginia (Larkin) Preston. He was a member of Harrodsburg Education Association, Kentucky Education Association and National Education Assoc. He was a retired teacher with the Mercer County School System and a member and Sunday School teacher at Joseph Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed flying model plains and art work.
Survivors include: his wife: Betty Sue(Peach) Preston; Cousins: Pauline (James) Moore of Lexington, KY, Freda (Al) Cassicoli of OK, Elizabeth Robinson of MO, Jim Reddick of TX, Mauda Lee of CA, George Reddick of WA and Preston Reddick of OK. Predeceased by sister, Lucille Preston.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11am at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Gill Duffee and Donald McCoun. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Mark Peach, Timothy Peach, Larry Taylor, Tony Young, David Ball and David McCoun.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 1 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon Bible Fund or Joseph Chapel Church.
