Ira Maurice Dean, 99, Harrodsburg, widower of Ruby Springate Dean, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg.
Born June 3, 1912 in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late Robert Wesley "Bob" and Dora (Hurst) Dean Sr.. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ and the Salvisa Ruritan Club. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include: a daughter: Linda (John) Hockersmith of Salvisa; and a son: Kenny M. Dean of Harrodsburg; four Grandchildren, Deana (Berke) Lyons, Lisa (Scott) Owens, Rachael (Chris) Ford and John Wesley (Luci) Hockersmith IV, Eight Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, November 20 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Hockersmith and John David Lane. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 20 from 1PM until time of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
