Obituary of Mary Lois Sanders

Mary L. Sanders, 83, of Harrodsburg, wife of Randall Sanders, Harrodsburg, died Tues., Jan. 10, 2012, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.Born Feb. 13, 1928, in Anderson Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Eva (Catlett) Perry. She was a former secretary for the director of the KY Department of Fish and Wildlife, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.Survivors other than her husband include: two sons, Randall Perry Sanders, Lexington, and Michael Barry Sanders, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, Chelsea and Sara Sanders, Georgetown, and Kate Sanders, Frankfort. She was preceded in death by a brother, J. W. Perry.Funeral services will be 11 AM Sat., Jan. 14, 2012, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Charles L. Daugherty. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.Pallbearers are Bobby Carter, Billy Mac Gritton, Zenah Teater, Sam Wheat, Marvin Hall, Mac Sanders, and John Sanders. Honorary bearers are Dr. Daniel Moran, Bruce Petrie, Darren Peckler, Jeff Dotson, Dr. Bacon Moore, Dr. John Horn, Dr. James Duncan, and EMRMC 3rd floor nursing staff.Visitation is 6 – 8 PM Friday and after 10 AM Sat. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.Memorials are suggested to the Markey Cancer Center, 800 Rose St., Lexington, KY, 40536.
