Obituary of Sara S. Baker

Sara S. Baker, age 81, of Harrodsburg, wife of Maurice C. "Bob" Baker, died Tuesday, February 14, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born May 6, 1930 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Martha May (Matherly) Sparrow. She was a retired school teacher in the former Harrodsburg Independent School District. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, Mercer Retired Teachers Assoc. and the KY Retired Teachers Assoc. She was also a member of The Homemaker’s Club. Survivors include: her husband: Maurice C. "Bob" Baker and one son: Bobby Jack(Diana) Baker of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Nancy(Franklin) Ransdell of Salvisa, KY; Two Grandchildren; Jack Baker and Eric Baker. Predeceased by; son, Tom Baker. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, February 16 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Wayne Spivey. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Jack Baker, Eric Baker, Frank Ransdell, Keith Ransdell, Doug Nelson, Hunter Nelson, Kermit Logue and Brent Logue. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15 from 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Baptist Church, Beyond Measure Campaign.
