Drue Wearen, age 92, Berea, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of George Wearen, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at the The Terrace, Berea, KY.
Born November 22, 1919 in Cynthiana, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Mary Darnell Gray. She was a member of the of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Bright Leaf Golf Club where the Drue Wearen Tournament is played annually.
Survivors include: two daughters: Margo (David) Carey of AZ, Diane (Jerry) Joyner of Richmond, KY, one brother: Julian Gray of Cynthiana, KY; one grandchild: Cindi (Scott) Hazelwood, and two great grandchildren: Hannah & Hunter.
Graveside services will be 01:00 PM, Thursday, March 22 at the Spring Hill Cemetery by Andy Wing.
