VIRGIL “JUNIOR” WARNER Virgil “Junior” Warner, age 75, 301 Dixie Manor, husband of Elaine Riley Warner, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington after a long illness. Born November 15, 1928 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Homer and Opha Salmon Warner. He was a retired lab technician at Corning Glass Works, Inc. of Harrodsburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, and a former member, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife include: a daughter Debbie and her husband Larry Cheser, Springfield; one brother Bill Warner, Boca Raton, Florida; one 1/2 brother Maurice Warner, Jacksonville, Florida and two grandsons, Will and Clay Cheser, both of Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, January 17th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor and Mike Conover. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Will and Clay Cheser, Everett Hall, Jr., Marion Inman, Gene Yates, Greg Warner, and Dennis Holiday. Honorary bearers will be members of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church Glad Hand Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Friday and after 7:30 am Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church.
