Dorothy Cornish Zappone, 92, Lexington, widow of Anthony "Tony" Zappone, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born September 28, 1919 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ludwell Carter and Emma (Kurtz) Cornish. She was a retired regional field manager for World Book Encyclopedia.
Survivors include: Six Nieces: Jean Drury, Mary Emily Wheeler, Frankie Sims, Jo Ann Hafer, Nancy House and Diane Tardani; Three Nephews: Bill Moore, Gayle Hundley and Jay Moore; one sister-in-law, Betty Zappone; many friends at Country Place Personal Care.
Graveside services will be 11 AM, Thursday, May 24 at the Lexington Cemetery by Curtis Sims.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercer County Humane Society or Christian Life Center.
