Obituary of Nellie Ella Watts

NELLIE ELLA WATTS Nellie Ella Watts, age 88, 527 Allah Avenue, widow of Raymond Watts, Sr., died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after an illness. Born September 17, 1915 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Strother and Laura Lyons Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bohon Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons Raymond Watts, Jr., Harrodsburg, and Kenneth Dale Watts, Georgetown; four daughters, Ruby Chambers, Viola Baker, Mary Baker, and Beverly Griffin all of Harrodsburg; one brother William T. Watts, Harrodsburg and one sister Jane Watts, Harrodsburg; 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Iva and Ronald Watts, four daughters, Thelma Stephens, Sue Watts, Georgia Weldon, and Juanita Byrd; five brothers, Lewis, Joe, Nelson, Cecil and Don Watts; five sisters, Myrtle LouAllen, Georgia Bottoms, Mable Kincade, Laura Watts, and Lottie Watts. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, January 22nd at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Ken Calia. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery in Mercer County. Pallbearers are grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 9 pm and after 7:30 am Thursday at the chapel.
