PLEAS TRAVILLIAN Pleas Travillian, age 98, 145 Cedar Lane, Harrodsburg, husband of Jessie Lee Crick Travillian, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Born May 5, 1905 in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Samantha Payne Travillian. He was a retired coal miner and farmer and a member of the Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church. Survivors besides his wife include: four sons, Samuel Travillian, Harrodsburg, George Travillian, Florida, Lonnie Travillian, Harrodsburg, and Pleas Travillian, Jr., Frankfort; three daughters, Samantha Sturdivant, Danville, Mable Carrier, Frankfort, and Zetta Lanham, Danville; 27 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 37 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Chester, Stallard, and David Travillian. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, January 24th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Steve VanHook, burial will be in the Danville Memorial Gardens, Stanford Road, Danville, KY. Pallbearers are Chester, Pleas, Jr., Lonnie, Steve, and Gardner Travillian, Joe Scott, Gary Pike, and Brian Mardis. Honorary bearers are David Dobbs, Odis Caroll, David Stratton, Johnny and Jason Carrier, David, George, and Sam Travillian. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm and after 7:30 am Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church, 36 Cherry Hill Road, Stanford, KY 40484.
