Velma Joyce Roy, age 66, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, in Harrodsburg.
Born January 4, 1946 in Springdale, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Emogene Jean (Wall) Roy.
Survivors include: a daughter: Nancy Lee Wesley of Harrodsburg; a son: Roy B. Tiny Wesley of Frankfort; four sisters: Brenda (J.T.) Murphy of Casey County, Peggy (Randall) Clark of Junction City, Barbara (Jimmy) Moore and Sherri (Rodney) Whitis of Somerset; and three brothers: Dan (Mary) Roy of MI, Corky (Sandy) Roy of Stanton, KY, Bobbie Joe Roy of Dayton, OH; Five Grandchildren; Four Step Grandchildren; One Great Grandchild; Thirteen Step Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Eddie Roy.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, July 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Terwilliger. Burial will be in the Valley Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Casey County, KY.
Pallbearers are: Allen Moore, Timmy Moore, Cash Moore, Dillion Dearinger, Luke Dearinger and Dale Moore. Honorary Bearers are: Tyler Burrows, Jamie Benham, Brandon Moore, Adam Hendrix, Corey Hendrix and Jon Humphrey.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 4 from 10 am - 1 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
