Laura Turpin, age 86, 2917 Perryville Rd., Harrodsburg, wife of Hubert Cleveland Turpin, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born January 7, 1926 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Bessie Mae (Hill) Gillis. She was a homemaker and member of the Perryville Church Of God.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Edith Mae (Larry) Pike of Harrodsburg; one son, Donald Ray Hankla of Perryville; three grandchildren, Amanda Clement, Erica Pike, and Ryan Pike; five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Perryville Church Of God by Bobby Fultz and Joey Turpin. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Lee Clement, Larry Pike, Clifford Bottom, Ryan Manning, Ryan Pike, Oscar J. Bailey, Robert Warner, and Leon Phillips.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and after 12 noon Wed. at the church.
