Obituary of David Clay Barger

David Clay Barger, age 85, Burgin, husband of Nancy Delois Smith Barger, died Sunday.
Born March 18, 1927 in Liberty, KY, he was the son of the late David Edgar and Mary (Neeves) Barger. He was a Navy Veteran, a retired carpenter, and attended the Baptist church.
Survivors other than his wife include: three daughters, Cindy (John) Garrett of Richmond, Vicky (Allen) Chesser of Springfield, Susan (Chuck) York of Garrard Co.; one sister, Gracie Selch of Stanford; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Curtis Barger, and a granddaughter, Melissa Lynn Chesser.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 12 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Junior Fields with burial in the Burgin Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers are: Chuck York, Allen Chesser, Brian York, Donald Propes, John Clay Willoughby, and Glenn Williams.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 11 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
