Obituary of Robert L. Thompson

Robert L. Thompson, age 61, Harrodsburg, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born August 2, 1951 in Danville, he was the son of the late Emmett W. and Edna May Young Thompson. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired Kentucky Utilities employee and member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. He was also past commander of the American Legion Post 52. Survivors include: a sister: Ruth Allen Thompson and a brother: Nelson "Walkie" Thompson both of Harrodsburg, and a niece, Emma Thompson. Graveside service 11:00 AM, Monday, October 29 at the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation from 4-7 PM Sunday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Post 52, 117 South Greenville, KY 40330.
