Rena W. Patterson, 91, of San Antonio, Texas, a loving and devoted wife and mother, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Born August 21, 1921 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, she was daughter of the late Marshall and Viola (McGinnis) Lawson. Her beloved husband of 62 years, Lt. Col. Claude W. Patterson, preceded her in death in 2007. She enjoyed Air Force family life and was an active member of Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church, San Antonio.
Survivors include two sons, William B. (Karen) Patterson of Manvel, Texas and Michael L. (Sandra) Patterson of Indian Hills, Colorado; grandchildren Heide Castaneda, Jonathan Patterson, Brian Patterson, Hannah Patterson, Lisa Levad; great-grandchildren Aiden Patterson, Drake Castaneda, Kathryn Boyer; sisters-in-law Velois Garriott and Vera Patterson, both of Harrodsburg.
Visitation will begin at 12 pm with the funeral services to follow at 2 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with John David Lane officiating. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/co.
