Melvin Martin, age 82, Harrodsburg, husband of Ola Foley Martin, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born April 7, 1930 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Elza and Louranda J (Wilham) Martin. He was a retired Traffic Officer for the Louisville Police Department and was a lifetime member of the FOP.
Survivors other than his wife include: one daughter, Louranda Blanche Staggs of Bedford, IN; one son, Melvin Clifton Martin of FL; one sister, Mary Ann Goodlett of Lexington, KY; one step daughter, Susan L. Coe of IN; three step sons, Richard E. Coe of Bell County, Johnny O. Coe of Russell County, and Roger L. Coe of AL; one grandchild; one great grandchild; one great great grandchild; twelve step grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of one's choice.
