Clinton Roger Harris, age 71, Salvisa, father of Hope Ann (Terry) Riley, Salvisa, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at his home.
Born November 14, 1941 in Harlan Co., KY, he was the son of the late Joseph Roy and Hannah (Metcalf) Harris Sr.. He was a retired car hauler and Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandsons whom he loved dearly.
Survivors other than his daughter include: two grandsons, Joseph and Andrew Riley, Salvisa; former wife, Judy Harris; two sisters, Nawana (Dale) Durham, Harrodsburg, and
Virginia (Arthur) Hibbard, Springfield, OH; two brothers, Edgar Roland "Hoss" Harris, Harrodsburg, and Joe (Betty Jo) Harris, Winchester. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Rodney Harris.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, December 7, 2012, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jerry Dedman with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: John Harris, Mark Durham, Mike Durham, Hobert Riley, Josh Riley, and Timmy Riley. Honorary bearers are: Gay Sims, Stephanie Rawlings, Joe Burgin, Tony Devine, Dr. Richard Hempel, Dr. Thomas Baeker and Heritage Hospice Staff.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
