WILLIAM BILL I. HADLEY, JR.
William Bill I. Hadley, Jr., 64, 302 Virginia Avenue, Harrodsburg, husband of Loretta Rae Teater Hadley, died Friday, February 06, 2004 at his residence after a long illness.
Born January 5, 1940 in Winchester, KY, he was the son of the late William Ingles Hadley, Sr. and Edna June Palmer Hadley.
He was a retired Building Maintenance Engineer for IBM in Lexington, a member of the Mercer County Fish & Game Farm, member of the National Rifle Association, a Kentucky Colonel, member of the Single Action Shooting Society where he was known as Rooster Red Bill, had served as Superintendent of Sunday School at the Presbyterian Church, was an avid gun, knife, and belt buckle collector, former Cub Scout Leader, and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors other than his wife include: two sons, David William and his wife Kathy Hadley, Harrodsburg and Phillip Douglas and his wife Denise Hadley, Greensburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Carla Picota, Nicki Wright, Staci Hickey, Loretta Rose Smith, Jacqueline K. Hadley, and Austin Douglas Hadley.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, February 9th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Gary Story. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mike Quinn, Jeff Fuller, Ray Roberts, Everett Smith, Sam Picota and Ronnie Walker. Honorary bearers are Ronnie Smith, Carroll Gritton, Bill Adkinson, Bobbie Riley, and Arvid Radar Tackett.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Sunday and after 7:30 am Monday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, POB 102, Harrodsburg or to Hospice, POB 1213, Danville,KY.
