Jennie M Mershon, age 90, Harrodsburg, widow of Marion T. Mershon, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born January 3, 1922 in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Sarah Mae (McMurry) Simpson. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Salvisa Christian Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Mercer Senior Citizens. Survivors include: one son, Arnold Mershon; one sister, Frances Stamper of Lexington; two grandchildren, Marion T. & Robert L. Mershon; Niece and Nephew, Leslie & Tupper Hardman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Roach, two brothers, Arthur and Frank Simpson, and two sisters, Lucille Stephens and Minnie Anderson. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Vicki Ray. Burial will be in the Hebron Cemetery, Lawrenceburg,. Pallbearers are: Joshua Hardman, Larry Stopher, Gene Hebrock, Micah Waddell, Tupper Hardman, and William D. Stephens III. Honorary bearers are: Arthur Simpson and Connie Whalen. Visitation will be Monday, December 10 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to Salvisa Christian Church, 155 Sugar Street.
