ImaJean Secchi, age 85, Harrodsburg, widow of T. Carl Secchi, died Saturday, December 15, 2012. Born October 3, 1927 in Topeka, KS, she was the daughter of the late Walter I. and Irene E. Miller Thomas. She attended Washington University, Miami University of Oxford, the University of Kentucky and received her Master's and Rank I from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a dedicated educator for some thirty years in Ohio and Kentucky, most recently as Director of Pupil Personnel at Harrodsburg Independent School System. She was a member of the St. Phillips Episcopal Church and the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include: a daughter: Sandra K. Smith of Harrodsburg, one brother: Max (Carol) Thomas of Peach Tree City, GA; a step son, Lawrence (Janie) Secchi of Richmond, KY; step daughter, Linda L. Rusk of Liberty, TX; Grandson, Darrin Smith and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son-in-law: H. G. Smith and her husband: T. Carl Secchi. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 20 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Reverend Peter Doddema, with burial in the Burgin Memorial Garden. Pallbearers: Kenny Sims, Larry Cotton, Genie Sims, John Borders, Allen Glaesser, Kevin Lanham, and Hunter Drury. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19 from 6-8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Phillips Episcopal Church, 118 W.
