Marshall William Darland, age 72, Harrodsburg, widower of Brenda Gayle Combs Darland, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at his home. Born April 28, 1940 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Marshall and Mabel (Whitehouse) Darland. He was a retired Square D machinist, member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ and was an Army National Guard veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Survivors include: one daughter, Marti Iacono of Danville; three sons, Lee (Joyce) Darland, Dean Darland, and Alan (Trish) Darland, all of Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Landon, & Peyton Darland, and Matthew & Tyler Estes; one great grandchild, Gabriel Clay Darland. He was preceded in death by a son, Lance Darland, and a brother, Harold Darland. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Sun., Dec. 23, 2012, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kessel. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa. Pallbearers are: Thomas Robinson, Dennis Gordon, Scott Howard, Chad Howard, Kelly Darland, and Todd Darland. Honorary bearers are: Stephen, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Landon, and Peyton Darland, Matthew and Tyler Estes, Dalton Hendren, and Jim Dunn. Visitation will be Sunday, December 23 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice, Inc., P.O.
