CLAY HARDIN, JR. Clay Hardin, Jr. age 78, 2939 Cornishville Road, Harrodsburg, widower of Geneva Morris Hardin, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Cooper Drive, Lexington. Born February 16, 1925 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Clay Hardin, Sr. and Hattie Cook Hardin. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a former maintenance employee of Brown & Williams Tobacco Company and a member of the Kentucky Trail Blazers. Survivors include: one son, Denny Clay Hardin, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Misty Clay Hardin, Nicholasville; two grandchildren Courtney and Shane Hardin. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 10th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bill Ransford and Daniel Wilson. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County with military rites. Pallbearers are Wayne Beckley, Charley Brown, Robert Mayes, John Mink, Sheldon Nation, and Bobby Perry. Honorary bearers are Wayne Noland and the Kentucky Trail Blazers. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Monday and after 7:30 am Tuesday at the Chapel.
