William Albert Elliott, age 85, Harrodsburg, widower of Helen Ruth Farney Elliott, husband of Mary Cornish Elliott, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore, KY. Born April 26, 1927 in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary (Russell) Elliott. He was a retired farmer, a 50 year Mason and member of the Cornishville Masonic Lodge, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Other survivors include: two daughters, Kathy Smalley of Harrodsburg, and Linda Elliott of Danville, KY; two step-children and their families, Lana Tingle and Zoe Anna Sanders; one sister, Betsy Goodlett of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Roy "Leon" Elliott of Daphne, AL; three grandchildren, Chris Farthing, Sharon Willmarth, and Kellie Filson; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lee Elliott. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Harley and Hilary Claypool Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Chris Farthing, Steve "Pete" Elliott, Stevie Elliott, Junior Huffman, Jamey Filson, Richard Tingle, and Allen McCoy. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 801 S. Limestone, Suite E, Lexington, KY 40508-4048, or to the Danville-Boyle Humane Society, 777 North Danville Bypass, Danville, KY 40422.
