ANNIE LOU PROCTOR HERRELL Annie Lou Proctor Herrell, age 95, 400 Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, widow of Oakley Herrell, died Monday, February 09, 2004 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Center after a long illness. Born March 3, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Atwood and Hattie Smith Proctor. She was a retired school teacher at the Burgin Independent School District, and a Member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister Ruby Proctor, Burgin. She was preceded in death by a brother Ralph Walter Proctor and a sister Christine Proctor. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 11th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor, Proctor Riggins, & Mike Hamby. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronald Leach, Ernest Nave, Douglas Sanders, Curtis Bailey, David Sims, and Bob Williams. Honorary bearers are Don Kestler, Frank Perkins, Pat Lear, Guilford Waggoner, Bill Patrick, Ernest Denny, Bob Thompson, George Brooks, Kenneth Kirkland, Dr. Charles Hatcher, Robert Webb, and members of Mrs. Herrell’s Sunday School Class at Burgin Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 7:30 am Wednesday at the Ransdell. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church or to a Charity of One’s Choice.
