Helen D. Jenkins, age 83, of Lexington, wife of James Carl Jenkins, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at her home.
Born March 25, 1929 in Mercer County, KY, she was a retired sales clerk for the former Newbury 5 & 10 Store and was a member of the Southland Christian Church.
Survivors other than her husband include: one daughter, Sheree Jenkins of Lexington, KY; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene (Calvin) Reed.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, with Will Briggs and Donna Rougeux officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
