SARAH ELIZABETH HOPPER PATTERSON Sarah Elizabeth Hopper Patterson, age 95, 918 Ridgeway Drive, widow of James Thomas Patters, Sr., died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at her residence after a long illness. Born September 16, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Walter and Lucille Davis Hopper. She was a homemaker, a member and former President of the Civic Garden Department of the Harrodsburg Women’s Club, member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, and member and taught Sunday School at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one son, James Thomas Patters, Jr., Harrodsburg; one daughter Mary Patterson Relaford, Harrodsburg, eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Patterson Guthrie and Elinor Patterson Turnor. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 13th at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church by Rev. Jim Owens. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Bradley S. Guthrie, James T. Patterson, III, Thomas P. Guthrie, George N. Woolcott, James P. Wolfe, and Danny S. Goodwin. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 102 South Chiles Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
