Obituary of William Taylor Simpson

William Taylor Simpson, 73 of Harrodsburg, widower of Patsy Jackson Simpson, died Friday, June 14, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born in Washington County, he was the son of the late Taylor A. and Bertha Esther Corn Simpson. He served in the Army National Guard and was a retired employee of Phillips Lighting/Corning. William is survived by: two daughters: Billie Ann (Jeff) Kyle of Simpsonville, Janet (Timothy) Reed of Harrodsburg, and two sons: Marshall (Jody) Simpson, and James C. Simpson both of Harrodsburg, two sisters: Lettie Mae Royalty of Louisville, and Lula J. Peel of Nicholasville, and one brother: Marcus Dwight (Brenda) Simpson of Washington Co., thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Johnny Simpson, T. H. Simpson, and James D. Simpson, and a sister: Catherine Bruner. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harley Humfleet, Larry Camic & Ronnie Ping. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with military honors. Pallbearers: Corey and Kelly Simpson, Mackenzie Kyle, Whitney Simpson, Austin Lyons, Christian Reed, Tiffany Reed, Amber Atkinson, Heather Eldridge, Matthew Simpson, Katie Simpson, Sarai Carmack, and Brantani Keys.
