FRED N. BUGG, SR.
Fred N. Bugg, Sr., age 87, 621 North Main Street, husband of Lula Mae McGinnis Bugg, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born September 24, 1916 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Dave and Lucy French Bugg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired construction worker for Conrad Gibson and the McGlone & Taylor Construction Company.
Survivors besides his wife include: three sons, Fred (Etta) Bugg, Jr. and Jeff (Mary Jane) Bugg, Harrodsburg, and Wayne (Sharon) Bugg, Bloomfield; three daughters, Freida (Bill) Carpenter, Springville, Tennessee, Gayle Yocum and Jean Bugg, both of Harrodsburg, a granddaughter who was raised as a daughter, Denise (Steven) Southerland, Lancaster, one step daughter, Joyce Devine, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Buford Bugg, Harrodsburg and Raymond Bugg, Elizabethtown; one sister, Hazel Dorsey, Harrodsburg.; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step son, Denzil Barnes, four brothers, Garnett, Marvin, Marcus, and William Bugg.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, February 21st at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Richard Easterling. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.
Pallbearers are Chris Devine, Lee Bugg, Travis Bugg, Scott Bugg, John Bugg, and Daryl Bugg.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Friday and after 7:30 am Saturday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimers Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Chapter Processing Center, 3703 Taylorsville Road, Suite 102, Louisville, Kentucky 40220-1330
