Thomas N. "Tommie" Hill, 87, widower of Frances Devine Hill, of Harrodsburg, KY, died Thursday at his home in Harrodsburg. Born in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late James and Susie Pruitt Hill. He was a Farmer and a retired forklift operator for Corning Glass. He was also a member at Salt River Baptist Church. Thomas is survived by: two daughters: Carol(Billy) Beavers of Harrodsburg, KY, Polly(David) Warner and two sons: Jack(Patty) Hill of Harrodsburg, KY and Gary(Brenda) Hill of McKinney, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by two brothers: Jimmy & Johnnie Hill; a sister: Sara C Lyons and a great grandchild: Branson Taylor Warner-Cummins. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Darrell Beavers, Scott Beavers, Jimmy Hill, Chris Ross, Corey Wardrip and William Anderson. Honorary Bearers: Gage Beavers, Nate Beavers, Kody Ross, Garrett Horn, Kevin Jones, Kristopher Jones, Cole Jones, Gary Durr, Jesse Johnson, Floyd Lyons, Bruce Purdom, Donnie Followell, Timmy Devine, Mark Bugg, Stevie Bugg, Eugene Bugg and Frank Kemplin. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by David Evans and Tim Gray. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. The family request memorial donations be sent to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Gideon's.
