JAMES “BUSTER” ALFORD James “Buster” Alford, age 51, 219 Campbell Drive, husband of Linda Yocum Alford, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at his residence. Born February 8, 1953 in Boyle County, he was the son of Ruth Rector Lamb, Harrodsburg and the late Gilbert Alford. He was a self employed farmer who enjoyed gardening and family time and was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. Survivors besides his mother and wife include: two sons, Jeffery Brant Goodlett, Harrodsburg and Christopher Lee and his wife Krissy Goodlett, Burgin; two daughters, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Anne Alford, Lexington and Cynthia Anne and her husband Damon Kelly, Harrodsburg; one brother, Joe and his wife Scottie Alford, Harrodsburg; three sisters, Teresa Lynn Angle, Arkansas, Rita Faye Phillips, Lexington, and Phyllis Anne and her husband Cash Ray Moore, Harrodsburg, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, February 28th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Bobby Estes. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Jeff Goodlett, Bobby Reister, Cash Ray Moore, II, Cassidy Moore, Paul Collier, Greg Collier, Danny Gunzalez, and Bob Watts. Honorary bearers are: Daniel Goodlett, Tyler Goodlett, Dakota Goodlett, Alyssa Goodlett, Isaiah Kelly, Allie Goodlett, Chase Kelly, and Brant Phillips. Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 8 pm and after 7:30 am Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
