Obituary of Charley Stinnett

Charley Stinnett, Sr., 56, husband of Kimberly Gay Freeman Stinnett, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born October 5, 1956, in Americus, GA, to the late James and Mabel Bottoms Carpenter Stinnett.
He was a retired Harrodsburg Fire Chief, member of The Carpenter's Christian Church, and the Masonic Lodge 777 F&AM.
Survivors other than his wife include: four daughters, Missy (Scott) McGinnis of Harrodsburg, Jennifer (Tommy) Acey of Perryville, Sara Stinnett of Lexington, and Hayley Stinnett of Harrodsburg; two sons, Charley (Pam) Stinnett Jr., Levi (Lindsey) Henderson both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Clara Moore of Harrodsburg, and Katina Jessen of Nicholasville; one brother, Curtis Fayne of Harrodsburg; several Nieces & Nephews; fother-in-law and mother-in-law, David (Peggy) Freeman; grandmother-in-law, Kathleen Freeman; nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 pm at The Carpenter's Christian Church with Masonic Rites at 7:30 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Marshall Hockersmith, Glenn Peavler, Danny Phillips, Ronnie Broce, Bobby Joe Blacketer, Don Smith, Joe Monroe and Logan Steele. Honorary Bearers: Eddie Blake, Ronnie Moore, Mike Settles, Kharley McGinnis, Brock McGinnis, Emma Acey, Tucker Acey, Raegyn Stinnett, Parker Stinnett, Abbigail Stinnett, Jayden Bailey, Ava Bailey and Mark Freeman.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Carpenter's Christian Church by Greg Warren with Fireman's Honors. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
The family request memorial donations be sent to Carpenter's Church Building Fund. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
