Mary Ellen Goodlett, 97, widow of George Thomas Goodlett, Harrodsburg, KY, died Thursday August 8, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born in Las Animas, CO, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Pierce and Harriett "Hattie" Katherine Lewis Sanders. She was a retired Seamstress for Cricketeer Manufacturing and a Charter Member of Fellowship Baptist Church and Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. Mary is survived by: two daughters: Judith (Arthur) Pennington, Bonnie Carey of Harrodsburg, and two sons: William T. Goodlett and Danny Goodlett. One sister: Charolette Smith of Harrodsburg, and one brother: Tommy Sanders of CA. Eleven Grandchildren, Twenty-Six Great Grandchildren, Twenty-Eight Great Great Grandchildren and Five Great Great Great Grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her Sisters: Ruth Goodlett, Hannah Hume and Ida Mae Mobley; Brothers: Arthur Sanders Jr. and William Goodknow; Son: Arthur Pierce Goodlett and Grandsons: Matthew, Jeffery & Brian. Visitation will be Monday 10am leading up to a 2 pm service, by Hillary Claypool at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Active Pallbearers will be: Brandin Carey, Josh Carey, Aaron Ross, Jimmy Merideth, Scotty Goodlett and Steve Goodlett. Honorary Bearers will be Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. The family request memorial donations be sent to Relay For Life.
