Obituary of Carroll Baxter Sanford

Carroll Baxter Sanford, 84, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Betty Lou Cinnamon, died Saturday. Born July 23, 1929, in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late Henry Taylor and Gertrude Baxter Sanford. He was retired from the KY Dept. of Transportation, and had owned an operated a grocery in Salvisa and had been a self-employed milk hauler. Carroll was an active member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, where he had served faithfully as a deacon and within many church ministries, including HBC Prison Ministry. He was a former Shriner and member of the Slavisa Ruritan Club. Carroll is survived by: one daughter, Carla Beth McCallum of Germantown, TN; one son, Brad Carlton Sanford of Marietta, GA; three brothers, Lawrence Sanford of Lawrenceburg, KY, Glendon Sanford of Louisville, KY, and Lonnie Sanford of Lawrenceburg, KY; five grandchildren, Courtney, Cara, and Will Sanford, and Micahel & Mark McCallum. He was preceded in death by brother, Litsey Sanford. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at Harrodsburg Baptist Church by Wayne Spivey & Eddie Russell. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery, Lawrenceburg. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, and after 10 AM Tuesday at the church. Pallbearers are: Mark Warford, Greg Cinnamon, Wayne Cinnamon, Johnny Lawrence, Ronnie Robertson, Ron Leach, Larry Lance, and Billy Dunaway. Honorary bearers are friends and golf buddies from Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, 302 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
