Mary Frances Jackson Crossfield, 86, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Charles Crossfield, died Wednesday December 25, 2013, in Harrodsburg, KY. Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Winchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lossie and Christine (Marshall) Jackson.
She was a retired Seamstress for Mercer Dress and worked a number of years at Old Fort Harrod State Park. She was a member of: 4-H Leader at McAfee, Ebenezer Homemakers, Harrodstown Choirs, Salvisa Concerned Citizens, Ladys Circle at Ebenezer and the Mercer Co. Homemaker Choir.
Mary Frances is survived by: two daughters: Linda Murray of Salvisa, KY, Kathy (David) Sexton of Harrodsburg, KY. One sister: Edith Snedicor of Loveland, OH, Daughter-in-law, Lela Crossfield; Grandchildren: Jim, Shannon, Lee, Julie, Scott, Todd, Lori, Beth and Jason; Foster Sisters- In-Law, Naomi Ransdell and Louise Ransdell; 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Son; Charles Francis Crossfield, Grandson; Jonathan Lee Murray, foster sisters: Eva Mae Hahn and Doris Burgin, Foster Brothers, A. L. "Sammy" Herbert, C. D, Jr. & Earl Ransdell, Sister: Alice Katherine Sutton.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Murray, Shannon Murray, Todd Crossfield, Scott Crossfield, Jason Sexton, David Sexton and Eric Harley. Honorary Bearers: Dalton Hendren, Jim Dunn, Hughes Jones, Dennis Gordon, Mike McRae.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kesel. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
The family request memorial donations be sent to Alzheimer's Association, 801 S. Limestone, Suite E, Lexington, KY 40508-4048 or the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
