Obituary of Sarah Sampson

Sarah Sampson, 84, died Tues., Jan. 14, 2014, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born Sept 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Eva Ella Brown Sampson. She was a retired secretary for Fort Knox and was a member of the Walnut Steet Baptist Church, Louisville.
Survivors include:one sister, Imogene Rehkopf, Seattle, WA; several nieces, Brenda Balcketer, Mary Welch, Linda Hart, and Leslie Shelley; several nephews, Julian, J.L., and Elmer "Ernie" Sampson; a great nephew, Jerry Sampson.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Harley Humfleet. Visitation will be Friday from 11 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Mercer Co. Animal Shelter. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
