Eva Pearl Lay, 71, Harrodsburg, KY, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Carrier and Ella B. Vest Carrier.
She was a Dietician/Cook for Haggin Hospital. She loved her family most, and auto racing was a close second, from Dirt to Nascar.
Eva is survived by: two daughters: Debra Jean Lay and Melissa Gail (Mark) Ross, both of Harrodsburg, KY. Two sons: Gil (Vickie) Lay of Burgin, KY and Durand Cecil (Peggy) Lay of Mitchelsburg, KY. Two brothers: Bobby Lee (Pat) Carrier of Burgin, KY, Eddie Ray (Crystal) Carrier of WV. Grandchildren: Manota, Kasey, Gil Jr., Devan, Trevar, John, Justin, Blake and Nichole; One Great Great Grandchild; Four Nephews and 14 Great Grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her Nephew, Jeremy.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 am until hour of service at 1 pm.
Pallbearers will be: Grandsons. Honorary Bearers: G. T., Carter and Trevar.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Larry Moore, Sr. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
