Jesse C. "J.C." Young, 69, Salvisa, husband of Charlotte Ann Huffman Young, died Wednesday at his home. Born Sept 22, 1944, in Salvisa, to the late Jesse and Edith (Davidson) Young. J. C. was a retired farmer and self employed buisnessman. He was a member of the Salvisa United Methodist Church, Modern Woodsman and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by: his wife: Charlotte Ann (Huffman) Young, three daughters: Joetta Young of Danville, Jessica Young of Salvisa, Edith "Brittany" (Chris) Denny of Lexington, and one son: Ricky (Stacy) Young of Harrodsburg, one sister: Saundra Powell of Memphis, TN and one brother: Mike Young of Salvisa, Eight Grandchildren: Farren Young, Caleb Young, Kaylea Meredith, Kennedy Meredith, Samantha Young, Jessi Young, Micah Arnold and Malachi Arnold. J.C. was preceded in death by a Grandson: Trent Young and two Sisters: Jean Prewitt Hatch and Ann Dean Visitation will be Friday March 14; 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers will be: Chris Denny, R.T. " Tommy" Dean III, Robbie Hughes, R.T. Dean IV, Seth Mayes, Joey Milburn, Jeff Wells, Micah Arnold and Malachi Arnold, Honorary Bearers will be: T.T. Lyons, Jr Yeager, Louis Sea, Donald Green, Hobert Riley, Bobby Lewis, Kenny Hatch, Blair Powell, John Scott Powell, Steve Powell, David Powell and Members of the Salvisa United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held Saturday; March 15 at 1 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith and Jim Robinson. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
