Arthur Cleo Bottom, 89, Washington County, husband of Juanita Derringer Bottom, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at his home. Born January 20,1925, in Washington County to the late Robert D. and Ethel (Harmon) Bottom. Arthur served during World War II in the Army Air Corps, was a retired farmer, and was retired owner of Bottom's Grocery Store in Deep Creek. Survivors other than his wife include: one son, Joedy (Debbie) Bottom, Washington Co., four siblings, Jewel Bottom, Harrodsburg, Jean (Bill) Casey, Lexington, Ernest (Nana Lou) Bottom, Mackville, and Billy Bottom, Lawrenceburg; grandsons, Tracy (Spring) Bottom, Chris (Rosemary) Bottom, and Michael Bottom; four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Beatrice Taylor, Doris Perkins, Iderina Elliott, Alma Robertson, Opal Settles, Donald Bottom, Bobby Bottom, and John Bottom. Services 2 pm Fri. at Deep Creek Baptist Church by Nelson Reynolds. Burial will follow in the Deep Creek Cemetery. Visit. 11:30 Friday at the church. Pallbearers are Tracy Bottom, Dustin Bottom, Chris Bottom, Wayne Derringer, Michael Bottom, and Mark Wilkerson. Ransdell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
