Georgia Brown, 102, Salvisa, KY, widow of Jesse Brown, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born May 20, 1911, in Taylorsville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Lillian Overstreet Waterfill. She was a retired Machine Operator for Cricketeer Mfg. Co., worked at Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church, a KY Colonel and a KY Admiral. Georgia is survived by: two daughters: Louise Woolums of Lexington and Nancy Yeager of Harrodsburg. Two sisters: Mary Shepherd of Lexington and Wilma Thompson of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Georgia was preceded in death by her sisters: Pat Conn and Ora Ray and four brothers; Kenneth Gash, Marshall Gash, J.W Waterfill and Eugene Waterfill. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Derrick Doughty, Jimmy Yeager, Billy Yeager, Gary Yeager, Dale Woolums, Buddy Yeager, Matt Yeager, Andrew Yeager and Trey Yeager. Honorary Bearers: Great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Chad Horn. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
