Obituary of Aleen Lake Long

Aleen Lake Long, 93, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Thurman H. Long, died Sunday at the Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care. Born October 22,1920, in Washington County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Abraham Lake and Ella Sanders Lake' Perrine. She was a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Haggin Hospital for 20 years, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a choir member, Bible School Teacher and Sunday School Teacher and Leader . Aleen is survived by: three daughters: Maxine Phillips of Crestwood, Bonnie (Kenneth) Meredith, Brenda (Eddie) Young of Harrodsburg and two sons: Thurman Long, Jr. of Largo, FL, Ronnie (Martha) Long of Harrodsburg, one sister: Annelle White of Winter Haven, FL, Fifteen Grandchildren, Twenty-seven Great Grandchildren and Four Great Grandchildren. Aleen was preceded in death by sisters: Una Mae Lake, Doris Disponett, Mamie Crowe, Mabel Drury, Hannah Long and Half Sister Vetta Spiller and Brothers: Ernest Lake, Hubert O. Lake, Garnett Lake and Half Brother, Densel Lake and Grandson: Timmy Long. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 5-8 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Her Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Robert DeFoor. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
