Me, Virginia, Mell Byrum, Kristi Robinson, and Sharon Whedon were all cheerleaders together in the 6th grade for Paragon Elementary School. I still have the picture of all of us together in our cheerleading outfits. White shirts and green skirts (Paragon colors). I remember going to Marlene Browns house to be fitted for our outfits and then Marlene made them for us. Marlene's son, Donald, was our classmate. Donald had a brother named Bobby, who had a band that used to play above the old hardware store in Paragon. All of us "cheerleaders" and lots of other friends used to go there to the "sock hop" to hear Bobby and his band play. Seems like yesterday. The last time I seen Virginia was around 2006 and she was back in the Paragon area briefly. I was working then at the Paragon store and seen her often. Virginia will always be in my memories of those days of being young and carefree, and of coarse, a Paragon Cheerleader! My condolences to the Litton family. Karen Higgins Everroad

I remember Virginia from elementary school. She was in my class and always a kind and gentle soul. My condolences to the family.
