William Carroll Trayner, 83, of Pompano Beach, Florida, widower of Patsy Wheeler Trayner, passed away Oct. 9, 2014, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Born Nov. 3, 1930, in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late William Loyd and Lillian (Rogers) Trayner.
He was an Army veteran having served in Germany with the 82nd Airborne Division. Carroll retired from IBM, having worked in Lexington and Boca Raton, and he was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: a sister, Linda (Jack) Preston; nephews, Ralph Trayner, Jr., Mark Trayner, Ben McMichael, Jeffrey McMichael, John Preston IV, and Damon Preston; one niece, Lisa Wellings.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Trayner, and his sister, Betty Jo McMichael.
Graveside services 11 AM Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion, by Jeffrey McMichael.
