REBECCA MAJESKE Rebecca Majeske, 80, Talmage-Mayo Road, Harrodsburg, wife of Earl Clifford Majeske, died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility. Born March 17, 1924 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Iva Mae Huddleston Shinkle. She was past president of the Presbyterian Women’s Association, former member of the American Association of University Women, a life member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, a volunteer at the Mt. Pleasant Hospital in Michigan for several year, was a former school teacher at an Army base in California, was an avid gardener and loved to ice skate as long as she was able. Survivors besides her husband include: four daughters, Suzanne and her husband Dennis Reinbold, Lowell, Michigan, Barbara Jo and her husband Daniel McGuire of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Patricia and her husband Paul Mark Burberry, Harrodsburg, and Elizabeth and her husband Russell Fimbinger, Marion, Michigan; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Maona Eaves. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, March 22nd at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Harrodsburg by Rev. Derek Baker. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandchildren Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Sunday and after 7:30 am Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, 801 Limestone, Suite E. Lexington, KY 40508.
