WILLIAM “RAS” ROBINSON William “Ras “ Robinson, 73, Salvisa, husband of 44 years to Helen A. Robinson, died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at his residence. Born March 19, 1931 in Anderson County, he was the son of the late James Harvey and Hester Humes Robinson. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, retired from Universal Fasteners, a former employee of The Perryville Battlefield, a member of the Salvisa Ruritan Club and a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. Survivors besides his wife include: two sons, Michael Todd Robinson, Salvisa and Roy Lynn Robinson, Harrodsburg, a grandson, William Michael Robinson, Harrodsburg, a granddaughter, Sarah Todd Robinson, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Rayford Robinson, Louisville, and James “Red” Robinson, Harrodsburg; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 23rd at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jason Clark and Larry Koch. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Larry Peyton, Steve Peyton, Danny Robinson, Chip Phillips, Ricky Bast and Charles Burkehead. Honorary bearers are Bruce Goodlett, Ricky Peyton, Clifford Wright, Members of the Salvisa Ruritan Club, Nephews, and Brothers-in-law. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Monday and after 7:30 am Tuesday at the chapel Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 102, Harrodsburg, KY.
