William Eugene Merriman, 79, Louisville, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville. Born February 18, 1935, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Tom and Bertie Baker Merriman. He was a member of the Burgin Christian Church and was a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant after twenty-two years of service. Survivors include: one daughter, Jan (Bruce) Gaines of Louisville; two sons, Mark (Kathy) Merriman of Stanton, KY, and Michael Merriman of Harrodsburg; one sister, Dorothy Jensen of MN; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son, Jeffery Logan Merriman, a grandson, Jordan Hunter Merriman, two sisters, Maude Duggins and Margaret "Peggy" Liddle, and a brother, Thomas L. Merriman. Funeral services 2 PM Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with visitation at 11 AM Tues. Burial will follow in Burgin Memorial Garden with Military Rites. Pallbearers: Michael Merriman, Mark Merriman, Bruce Gaines, Seth Brewer, Bradley Ray and Joseph Vaughn.
