Helen Peyton Gash, 98, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of William Guy Gash, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born April 26, 1916, in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Raymond and Verlie Ann Robinson Peyton. She was a member of Magnolia Street Christian Church and former member of Mercer Senior Citizens and Salvisa Ruitan Club. She was a clerical worker for Sears of Louisville. Helen is survived by four sons: David P. Gash of Lexington, KY, Jerry Denton Gash and Anthony Raymond Gash both of Harrodsburg and Douglas Guy Gash of Columbus, GA. One sister: Margie P. Young of Harrodsburg and one brother: Bob Peyton of Harrodsburg. 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her sons: Billy Burt Gash and Larry Gash; Daughters: Judith Gayle Lindsey and Cora Sue Gash; Brothers: R.D. and Bruce Peyton and a sister: Margaret Louise Robinson. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: David Lee Gash, Tom Gash, Michael Robinson, Billy Joe Robinson, Dennis Robinson, Larry Peyton, Steve Peyton and Ricky Peyton. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John David Lane. Burial will follow in the Kirkwood Cemetery, Salvisa.
