Peg, I just learned of Tim’s passing. I have such fond memories of working with Tim when you were living here in the Bay Area. Wish I could bring back those times.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Tim's family. I worked for Tim in the San Diego office from 1982 to 1988. He is one of only a very few scout executives that I truly respected and admired. I truly enjoyed working for him and with him. His ability to stay calm in the face of anger, frustration, and disappointment from volunteers was something that just amazed me. The more hostile they became the calmer Tim got. I remember playing a practical joke on him by completely filling his office with patriotic items. I have fond memories. a58bn

I agree Mark! Tim was able to remain calm in the face of anger, just as you say. One of the skills that made Tim a joy to work with. We worked together at the Pacific Skyline Council. I was on ‘his’ board. And we got lots of good things done while Tim was Scout Exec here!

Dear Peg,
I am in an unfortunate situation where I was barely able to get out of the Glade Thursday. Unfortunately, I cannot miss any additional days of work and I must stay out of town this weekend. I want you to know that you have my greatest sympathies. Timothy was a wonderful person and I am terribly sorry for your loss.

We were saddened to hear of Tim's passing. As difficult as this must be, we hope that amid your sorrow you can take some comfort in the resolve that he showed to all of us. How fitting it is that his name is Timothy...

I worked closely with Tim in the merger of the San Mateo Council and Stanford Area Council into the Pacific Skyline Council, and then continued to work with him in the Pacific Skyline Council until he left to be an Area Executive. I loved working with Tim. What a great scouter. His enthusiasm and good heart were contagious and uplifted the Executive Board and his staff. I have missed working with him since he left to go east. I wish Peggy comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated here at Pac Sky for what he did as our first council executive. He will always have a feeling of appreciation here.
Garth Pickett, past President of Pacific Skyline Council
