ELLA IRENE ROBINSON SHORT Ella Irene Robinson Short, 80, McCouns Ferry Road, Salvisa, wife of Carl Short died Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born May 9, 1923 in Anderson County she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Tokie Drury Robinson, was a homemaker and member of the Claylick United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for the Beginners Class for several years, a member of the adult choir and a member of the Administrative Board. Survivors besides her husband are three sons, Larry Short, Harrodsburg, Roy Short, Salvisa, and Benny Short, McAfee; three daughters Judith Egbert, Salvisa, Robbie Adkinson, Harrodsburg, and Sandra Bowling, Santa Fe, New Mexico; one brother Jimmy Robinson, Lawrenceburg; one sister Frankie Simpson, Bloomfield; seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Edna Neimier. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 pm Monday, April 5th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Glen “Pete” Gilliam. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Monty Short, Kevin Short, Terry Egbert, Chris Short, Travis Claunch, Brandon Short, and Shawn Adkinson. Honorary bearers are Sherri Parker, Carol Wilson, Shannon Becknell, Anne Smith, Crystal Scott, and Tara Short. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 9 pm at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice, POB 1213, Danville, KY 40422.
