Idamay Palmer Aebi, 94, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of Homer J. Aebi, Sr., died Thursday; March 26, 2015, at the Grace Living Center, Norman, OK. Born September 12, 1920, in Steubenville, OH, she was the daughter of the late John James and Naomi (Boyd) Palmer.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, before moving to Oklahoma. Idamay worked at the Ravenna Arsenal making bomb casings during the war, and Timken Roller Bearings, both in Ohio, she was also the secretary at the Senior Citizens Center in Harrodsburg for several years. She was a member of the DAV in Deland FL, and VFW Chaplin in Harrodsburg. She loved music and dancing.
Idamay is survived by: two daughters: Sharon (Harry) Paul of Massillon, OH, Melissa A. (Michael) Brown of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: Homer John (Susan) Aebi, Jr. of Moore, OK and Michael A. Aebi of Parksville, KY; one sister: Louise Card of GA, Thirteen Grandchildren; Thirty-two Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two Siblings, Eugene E. Palmer and Berttie V. Tyskiwicz.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel and Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 pm also at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville.
