GEORGE BRADLEY LONG George Bradley Long, 91, Talmage-Mayo Road, Salvisa, widower of Jessie Norton Long died Thursday, April 08, 2004 at the Corbin Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. Born Saturday, April 05, 1913 in Woodford County, he was the son of the late George and Vicie Hellard Long. He was a retired employee of the Bridge Gang for Southern Railroad. Survivors include: three sons, Jess Long, Corbin, David (Gladys) Long, London and Boyd (Corene) Long, Washington County; three daughters, Arnetta (Jim) Hendren, Louisville, Betty (G.W.) Barnes, Mercer County and Norene Baker, Harrodsburg; one sister, Juanita Baxter, Leitchfield, KY and twenty grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and several great - great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Clay Long and Ansel Long, and two sisters Nina B. Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Gaddis. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 10th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Cleo Goodlett and John Hockersmith. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Jerry, Dennis Wayne, and Glen Norton, James, Billy and Tommy Baxter. Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Friday and after 7:30 am Saturday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Opac Community Services, 426 East 4th Street, London, KY 40741.
