Robert A. Trisler, 86, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Betty Mattingly Trisler, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg.
Born December 29, 1928, in Marion County, he was the son of the late Louis and Myrtle (McCroskey) Trisler. He was a retired Corning Inc. employee, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, where he was a former Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Elder. Bobby was an Air Force veteran of the Korean war, a member of the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge 777 F&AM, and the Oleika Shrine.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Brenda (Jay) Vedelli of The Villages, FL, and Ruth Ann (John) Sparks of Frankfort, KY; a stepson, Doug (Julie) Pennington, Elida, OH; one grandchild, Scott (Chris) Holiday; one great grandchild, Karlie Holiday; three step grandchildren, Cindy (Al) Pennington-Ishu, Michael Pennington, and Shane Pennington. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Denny.
Funeral services 2 PM Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mego Haralu and Phil Williams. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, with Military Honors. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Masonic Rites 8 PM Sat., chapel.
Pallbearers: Doug Pennington, Scott Holiday, Shane Pennington, Michael Pennington, John Sparks, and Jay Vedelli. Honorary bearers are Elders of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Memorials are suggested to: Harrodsburg Christian Church, Oleika Shrine Temple or Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care.
